Visa requirements
Greece is party to the Schengen Agreement which means that you have to follow the standard European visa procedure. US citizens are allowed into the country for 90 days for business or as tourists without a visa. However, the visitors’ passports should be valid for at least 90 days beyond the intended stay period. US diplomatic passport holders are required to obtain a visa prior to their travelling in order to enter the country.
Customs

Greece uses euro as her currency. While visitors are allowed to enter the country with any amount of money, ATMs are readily available for withdrawals in different places including tourist areas. Visitors can easily use Visa card or MasterCard to withdraw money from the ATMS.
Airport security

Unlike in the past, all liquids and other stuffs carried to the airport must be examined at security checkpoints when entering or leaving Greece. There is a restriction on the amount of liquids or perfume products to be carried while travelling through the airports.
What to carry
